Overview
As Senior Design Coordinator, you will lead design engineering on small to medium projects within Murphy’s energy/EPC framework. You will coordinate internal designers, consultants, suppliers and interface contractors, ensuring proper use of Aconex or client-approved CDE systems. You will monitor design progress, oversee constructability and temporary works, and review CAD/BIM output. This role sits at the heart of multi-disciplinary delivery, shaping safe, buildable solutions across cross-country projects.

Responsibilities
- Review submissions for quality and sufficiency
- Lead design engineering on small/medium projects
- Coordinate design activities across internal designers, consultants, suppliers and interface contractors
- Ensure Aconex (or client-approved CDE) setup is correct and used by all stakeholders
- Monitor, track and report design progress against the project programme
- Oversee constructability and permanent works considerations related to Temporary Works
- Review design progress/details using CAD/BIM tools
- Monitor NCRs and close-out processes
- Liaise with Surveyors, Buyers, Contract Managers, Project Managers, Site Managers and Estimators to foster a team approach
Key requirements
- HNC/HND in civil engineering, construction or similar
- Professional affiliation with an Engineering Institution or progress towards it
- Engineering design experience on Power T&D, renewables, or multidisciplinary EPC projects
- Exposure to design management/coordination and construction experience
- Experience with Autodesk suite (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks)
- Digital familiarity with BIM, CDEs and document control systems/processes
