Applied AI Engineer, Markets Operations – Associate

Overview

In this role, you will design, build, and deploy scalable AI services that improve workflows and controls for Markets Operations. You will collaborate with software engineers, AI specialists, and operations partners to bridge cutting-edge AI with enterprise-grade systems. The team aims to turn workflow pain points into durable, production-ready solutions while maintaining security and operational readiness. This position offers hands-on ownership and opportunities to influence technology patterns and productization of AI. You will work across Python services, APIs, data pipelines, and infrastructure to deliver impactful results.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architecture and patterns enabling AI solutions across Markets Operations and software engineering
• Build scalable, reusable AI services and supporting infrastructure with modern tech
• Collaborate with AI/data science teams to design, test, and deploy services linked to strategic systems
• Learn Markets Operations processes to develop practical integrations with banking operations systems
• Evaluate new AI infrastructure technologies and share technical findings
• Document designs, implementation details, and tradeoffs for maintainability
• Support production scalability, reliability, and security of AI/ML solutions with focus on operational readiness
• Partner with operations stakeholders to translate workflow pain points into practical technology solutions

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong Python programming skills
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs (e.g., FastAPI)
• Build and support ETL and data pipelines
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and work in CI/CD pipelines
• Design and integrate databases and data models
• Monitoring practices and understanding of production controls and compliance
• Effective written and verbal communication; able to work in cross-disciplinary teams
