Overview

As Assistant Director, you will lead procurement and operational-strategy transformations for diverse clients, guiding value creation and cost-reduction initiatives. You’ll manage cross-functional delivery teams, engage senior stakeholders, and translate operational insights into tangible financial outcomes. This role blends strategic advisory with hands-on execution in fast-moving engagements, including new business development and thought leadership within EY-Parthenon. You’ll contribute to building a high-performing practice in a globally connected firm.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project delivery teams in procurement and operational transformation projects
  • Advise senior clients (Board/C-suite) on strategic changes and value creation
  • Own workstreams end-to-end, translating insights into EBITDA, cash, and CAPEX outcomes
  • Support on pitches, pursuits, and go-to-market collateral to grow the practice
  • Produce concise, executive-ready reports and recommendations for stakeholders
  • Mentor, coach, and develop junior team members and contribute to practice growth
  • Build and manage internal/external relationships to strengthen team profile
  • Drive risk management and project commercials within engagements

Key requirements

  • Professional services/strategy consulting experience in cross-sector procurement and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Proven track record delivering cost transformation and procurement operating-model changes
  • Ability to link operational analysis to financial statements and client strategy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with senior stakeholders
  • Experience supporting sales, business development, and client origination
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple workstreams, and lead teams in high-pressure environments
  • Experience with contract separation, carve-outs, and integrations
