Overview
You will support a brand-new commercial contract across prestigious City of London and West End sites, delivering planned and reactive HVAC maintenance. You’ll work within a growing building services team to keep complex A/C systems running and compliant, liaising with clients and subcontractors. Your impact comes from reducing downtime, completing installations and minor projects, and maintaining accurate service records. Responsibilities
- Perform PPM and reactive maintenance on commercial HVAC and air conditioning equipment
- Attend emergency breakdowns and respond promptly to issues across client sites
- Diagnose faults and repair a range of air conditioning systems and plant
- Service and maintain commercial A/C systems and undertake minor projects/installations
- Work with various systems (Single/Multi-Split, VRV/VRF, VAV, Close Control & CRAC, DX)
- Handle refrigerant recovery, evacuation, re-gassing and charging
- Execute brazing and soldering as required
- Maintain site logbooks, service records and compliance documents
- Liaise with subcontractors and specialist contractors as needed
- Report significant issues and recommendations to Contract Manager
- Build strong client and site team relationships
- Ensure compliance paperwork is completed accurately and on time
Key requirements
- F-Gas Category 1 qualification – Essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial A/C service and maintenance
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Extensive experience with commercial A/C systems
- Experience with VRV/VRF, splits, DX and close-control systems
- Knowledge of refrigerant systems, re-gassing, brazing and related repairs
- Experience working across multiple commercial sites
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
- Full UK driving licence advantageous
