Overview
As a Field-based Analyst Consultant at WSP you will ensure air quality monitoring equipment across the UK provides accurate results and reliable measurements. You will perform on-site testing, calibration, data recording and processing to strict quality standards. You will review and ratify measurements using our in-house software and adhere to UK law and European directives. The role involves significant travel, field work, and producing data-driven reports for Defra and Scotland air quality publications. You will join a global team dedicated to delivering meaningful environmental impact.
Responsibilities
- conduct on-site testing and calibration of air quality monitoring equipment
- record, process and verify measurement data to quality requirements
- review and ratify air pollution measurements using in-house software
- ensure compliance with UK laws and European Directives
- travel frequently for field work across Scotland and wider UK
- prepare data and support publication on Defra UK Air Quality and Air Quality in Scotland websites
Key requirements
- degree in Physical Sciences or Engineering is an advantage but not essential
- relevant experience considered
- full, clean UK driving licence with experience driving a company van
- awareness of site safety issues
- ability to conduct research, gather and analyse data accurately
