Overview

In this role you support the end-to-end lifecycle of portfolio acquisitions within the Max Recovery Team, driving operational excellence in middle-office functions. You collaborate with front-office, technology and external partners to enable growth, automate routine tasks, and ensure compliant, well-documented processes. You will translate portfolio data into actionable insights and help optimize controls and reporting. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with a clear impact on efficiency and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Understand insolvency products and end-to-end recovery processes
  • Support front office in new business growth with pre-purchase/funding setup and post-purchase tasks
  • Own routine middle-office operations (payments, reconciliations, file processing)
  • Analyze portfolio data to provide insights and performance tracking
  • Leverage Python and AI tools to automate tasks and improve processes
  • Collaborate with technology to implement system improvements for efficiency, oversight and control
  • Maintain robust controls and documentation for regulatory and internal standards
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory reporting

Key requirements

  • Experience in middle office, operations, or analyst roles in financial services, especially distressed debt or insolvency
  • Basic proficiency in Python for data analysis or workflow automation
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
  • Proactive problem-solving and ownership mindset
