Overview
As Contract Manager at Cavendish Nuclear, you will provide expert commercial and governance support for NEC contracts on a major nuclear infrastructure programme. You will administer NEC3 contracts, manage compensation events, and develop cost baselines to support supplier submissions and cost control. You’ll engage stakeholders to ensure programme alignment, drive commercial risk management, and support safe, value-driven delivery. This is a high-impact role within one of the UK’s largest clean energy projects, offering leadership growth and meaningful delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Administer NEC3 contracts from award to close-out with full contractual compliance
- Manage compensation events, including assessment, negotiation and agreement
- Develop and maintain cost baselines and evaluate supplier submissions
- Perform detailed cost analysis, review assumptions, quantities, rates and scope
- Support proactive commercial risk management, dispute avoidance and supplier performance assurance
Key requirements
- Strong contract and commercial management experience in major infrastructure, engineering or nuclear environments
- Proven NEC contract administration experience, including compensation events
- Quantities surveying capability: valuation, cost control and change management
- Experience developing cost forecasts, baselines and managing commitments
- Confident stakeholder engagement and commercial negotiation skills
