Overview

As a Service Charge Officer in Camden’s Home Ownership team, you will ensure leaseholders receive transparent and accurate service charge information. You will calculate estimates and actuals, resolve queries, and support residents with clear, empathetic explanations. You’ll collaborate across Housing, Repairs and Income Collection to deliver high-quality service aligned with Camden’s mission to improve life for communities. You’ll contribute to continuous improvement and, when needed, support legal processes with evidence gathering and representation. This role offers a meaningful chance to balance financial precision with excellent customer service for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate and bill service charge estimates and actuals accurately
  • Resolve queries and disputes with leaseholders
  • Explain charges clearly and sensitively to residents
  • Build and maintain cross‑team relationships (Housing, Repairs, Income Collection)
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and provide insights to the Service Charge Team Leader
  • Support legal/enforcement processes by gathering evidence and representing the organisation at tribunals or court hearings
