Overview

In this role you will drive change delivery by understanding requirements from across the firm and ensuring benefits are realised. You will work with the Projects & Change team to manage a pipeline from inception to completion, analysing current and future states and outlining options with associated risks and benefits. You will produce analysis, options papers and requirements specifications, validating findings with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. The role supports technology-enabled delivery of legal services, contributing to the firm’s competitive differentiation and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews with subject matter experts and stakeholders
  • Plan and facilitate workshops with stakeholders
  • Capture, analyse and model the current state
  • Complete project documentation as appropriate
  • Elicit, specify, validate and manage requirements across the project lifecycle
  • Define future state with options, benefits and realisation plans
  • Identify risks and management options
  • Organise requirements into delivery sequences
  • Present findings to sponsors and key stakeholders
  • Identify process/tech patterns and recommend changes or better utilisation of technologies
  • Support management of a firm-wide pipeline of work
  • Assist the IT Delivery Team during the RFP process
  • Operate at SFIA level 5 across related disciplines
  • Investigate business requirements and specify improved processes through information systems, management and organisation change
  • Select and adapt appropriate BA methods and tools for plan-driven or iterative approaches
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on strategy studies, requirement specifications and feasibility
  • Prepare business cases defining benefits, options and risks

Key requirements

  • Experience liaising with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience influencing senior executives and partners
  • Strong knowledge of BA methods, techniques and tools (e.g., acceptance criteria, data modelling, process modelling, use cases, scenarios, etc.)
  • Experience applying standard templates for consistent results
  • Awareness of IIBA or BCS principles
  • Experience turning business needs into technical specifications with technologists
  • Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Visio, Skore or similar for process models and use-cases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
