Planning Manager

Overview

As Planning Manager, you will own programmes across the full project lifecycle on major datacentre projects. You’ll work within a Tier 1 contractor’s Major Projects division, coordinating with pre-construction, delivery and commercial teams to set schemes up for success. You’ll lead the development and maintenance of detailed programmes from tender through to handover, while driving improvements to planning processes. This is a high-impact role with exposure to high-profile projects and a clear path for career progression.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes from tender through to completion
• Lead planning input on bids and tender submissions
• Monitor progress, identify risks and opportunities, and advise project team
• Support Project Managers and site teams with accurate planning insights and updates
• Embed best-practice planning processes to drive continuous improvement

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Planner or Planning Manager within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
• Proficient in Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
