Responsibilities
- Manage own caseload on complex planning matters
- Work on large-scale strategic development and energy/infrastructure schemes
- Handle planning obligations, CIL, and highway matters
- Oversee enforcement, compulsory purchase, judicial reviews and appeals
- Support property acquisitions, disposals, and contentious planning issues
- Collaborate with Partners and cross-office colleagues to deliver high-profile projects
Key requirements
- 4+ years’ PQE with strong grounding in planning law
- Experience in residential development and/or energy matters (ideal but not essential)
- Excellent communication and ability to handle complex issues
- Strong technical ability, meticulous attention to detail, sound judgement
- Ability to build trusted client relationships
- Passion for energy, infrastructure and sustainable development (advantage)
