Overview
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will lead geotechnical delivery for a range of projects in the UK water sector, applying field data, analysis, and reporting to solve real-world challenges. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align field work with project plans and environmental goals, while driving technical innovation and knowledge sharing. The role blends hands-on data interpretation with client engagement and project leadership in a hybrid work setting from Manchester. Your contributions will shape designs, feasibility studies, and reservoir modelling efforts that underpin safe, sustainable infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Field data collection and interpretation from geotechnical fieldwork
- Support design and feasibility studies for geotechnical projects
- Coordinate projects aligning field requirements with plans and environmental protection
- Prepare detailed technical reports and contribute to reservoir characterization and simulation
- Lead internal knowledge-sharing and contribute to technical developments
- Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure quality service
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field
- 6-10 years of relevant experience
- Experience supervising junior colleagues
- Advanced skills in geotechnical analysis, geophysical and geochemical interpretation, and data management
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, troubleshoot, and deliver innovative engineering solutions
