Overview

As Head of Private Client in a Gloucestershire law firm, you will lead the Private Client team while managing your own caseload. You will drive department growth, oversee junior staff, and ensure high-quality client care. You will handle a broad range of private client matters and contribute to business development and client relationships across the firm. This is a senior leadership role with a focus on shaping the Private Client offering in a respected firm.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Private Client team and oversee junior staff
• Maintain and handle a varied personal caseload
• Drive growth of the Private Client department
• Ensure consistently high standards of client care
• Oversee probate and estate administration, trusts, wills, and estate planning
• Provide advice on lasting powers of attorney and inheritance tax planning
• Contribute to business development and strengthen client relationships
• Balance leadership duties with ongoing practice responsibilities

Key requirements

• 7+ years’ PQE in private client work
• Qualified solicitor
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong client relationship management skills
• Good business development capabilities
• Ability to manage own caseload while leading a team
