Overview

In this role you will operate and engineer AWS DBS services at massive scale, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable cloud infrastructure. You will apply metrics to identify improvements, refine procedures, and coach others as a leader on the team. Responsibilities

• Operate and evolve cloud infrastructure for AWS DBS services
• Build, deploy, and sustain services in production environments
• Leverage trends and metrics to identify improvement opportunities
• Refine team procedures and internal customer workflows
• Maintain high engineering standards while solving ambiguous problems
• Study and learn from senior engineers to grow technical mastery
• Coach, hire and develop team members
• Create innovative solutions to customers’ technical problems

Key requirements

• Experience in site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration
• Experience working with Linux
• Experience with programming or scripting languages (Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell) or equivalents

• Leadership and ability to coach and mentor
• Collaborative, cross-functional mindset
• Adaptability to ambiguous problem domains
• Linux proficiency
• Scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Shell)
• Programming in one or more of Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby
