Unified Communications Engineer – Voice / Automation

Overview

In this role you will own and optimize a global Cisco UC and collaboration estate, ensuring voice and video services remain stable while driving automation and business-critical integrations. You will work across on-premises and cloud-knit UC components, coordinating upgrades, monitoring, and operational standards in a high-availability environment. You’ll shape tooling and automation to reduce repetitive work and resolve complex issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities

• Support and improve a global Cisco UC and collaboration estate
• Manage changes, upgrades and configuration across voice, video and conferencing platforms
• Troubleshoot SIP, SBCs, PSTN trunking, endpoints and call flows
• Build automation around UC workflows
• Support voice recording, compliance and messaging archive platforms
• Integrate on-premise UC with Webex, Zoom, Teams and related services
• Improve monitoring, alerting, documentation and operational standards

Key requirements

• 7+ years in voice, UC or collaboration engineering
• Strong experience with CUCM, Cisco Meeting Server and Expressway
• Good knowledge of SIP, SBCs and PSTN SIP trunking
• Experience supporting Cisco phones, softphones and video endpoints
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-isolation skills
• Scripting or automation experience in Python, PowerShell or similar
• Experience in a high-availability enterprise environment
