Overview

In this role, you own the insight agenda for our brand and marketing activity, guiding what we should learn and why it matters. You translate customer, brand and market understanding into actionable recommendations that influence brand strategy, campaigns and business decisions. You’ll lead brand tracking, sentiment analysis, campaign evaluation and pre-testing of creative concepts, ensuring insight leads to action. You collaborate across Brand, Product and Analytics to build a customer-led, insight-driven culture and drive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own the customer and brand insight agenda to answer the most important strategic questions
  • Lead brand tracking, customer sentiment analysis, campaign evaluation and deep-dive brand analysis, explaining changes and next steps
  • Lead pre-testing of creative concepts to optimize campaigns before launch
  • Challenge assumptions with evidence to support customer-led decisions
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand customer needs, behaviours and market opportunities
  • Manage research partners to deliver decision-focused insights
  • Embed insight across planning, proposition development and campaign execution with Brand, Product and Analytics teams
  • Use AI to accelerate insight synthesis, automate reporting and improve decision-making speed and quality
  • Communicate insights through compelling storytelling to build a customer-led culture

Key requirements

  • Significant experience in marketing insight or consumer research within a major B2C brand
  • Proven experience leading brand tracking programmes, campaign evaluation and insight reporting
  • Strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • Experience managing research agencies and influencing senior stakeholders through evidence-based storytelling
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, able to translate data into actionable insights
  • Demonstrable experience using AI tools to enhance research and reporting workflows
