Senior Consultant – Project Controls & Performance

Overview

In this role you will support the Controls & Performance advisory function within the Programme Advisory team, helping clients transform their project controls ecosystems. You’ll work on major infrastructure programmes across the UK and internationally, shaping PMO setup, control processes and performance reporting. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to design practical, benefit-focused solutions and enable evidence-based decision making. Responsibilities

• Assess client environments to identify challenges and apply our structured approach to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
• Develop, implement and optimise PMO and controls & performance strategies and setups
• Prepare reports that support findings and recommendations across client engagements
• Lead and participate in workshops with senior client representatives (C-suite)
• Operate within diverse teams on client sites and virtually
• Adapt methodologies and tools to client contexts and contribute to ongoing improvement
• Support internal development of transformation products and approaches
• Contribute to business generation activities (bids, proposals) and engage with senior management
• Identify and progress business opportunities and assist with marketing efforts (employee advocacy)

Key requirements

• Experience on major capital projects/programmes in the infrastructure sector (schedule, cost, risk, change or performance reporting)
• Familiarity with capability/maturity assessments in capital delivery, PMO, or controls & performance functions
• Experience writing/presenting reports and engaging with C-suite stakeholders
• Computer literacy with Office 365, Visio, Miro, Slack, Teams; experience with Oracle Primavera, PRISM, Power BI or similar
