As an Employment Associate, you will handle a varied mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters within a reputable national practice. You’ll support employers across sectors, including retail, charity, and energy, handling briefs from tribunal work to advisory projects. The role combines case management, drafting, and due diligence with opportunities to contribute to business development. You will work closely with a national team in a supportive, growth‑oriented environment, balancing high professional standards with client-facing impact. Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of employment matters including tribunal litigation and advocacy preparation
  • Advise employer clients on HR issues such as disciplinary, grievance, and redundancy matters
  • Draft contracts, policies, handbooks, and settlement agreements
  • Support corporate transactions with employment-related due diligence
  • Advise on employment-related data protection matters
  • Collaborate with clients across sectors and contribute to business development and networking
  • Maintain high professional standards and regulatory compliance

Key requirements

  • 4+ years’ PQE in employment law
  • A minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree
  • Strong technical and drafting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence managing tribunal matters independently
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Motivation, organisation and a proactive mindset
