Overview

In this role you will join the Acquisitions Team within Global Transportation Group to shape and execute GTG’s M&A strategy. You will lead identification and execution of potential acquisitions, guiding junior colleagues through due diligence, modelling, negotiations, and documentation. You will work across time zones and with external advisors to maximize value and drive deal success. This is an opportunity to influence investment outcomes in transportation assets and related sectors within a global, private markets platform.

Responsibilities

  • Pipeline development to identify targets aligned with the Fund’s mandate
  • Develop and review valuation models and pricing to support acquisition decisions and synergies analysis
  • Manage the M&A process from target identification through closing, including structure and strategy
  • Oversee due diligence across contracts, financials, regulatory, IP, HR, and other factors
  • Prepare and review deal documentation (LOIs, definitive agreements, representations and warranties, closing conditions)
  • Lead negotiations and structuring to optimize value for the Fund
  • Communicate deal status to senior GTG investment team and Investment Committee; interact with investors and external parties

Key requirements

  • Experience in a top-tier/bulge bracket investment bank in M&A or Transportation Coverage
  • Demonstrated track record of M&A deal execution and process management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; highly collaborative and team-oriented
  • Strong financial modelling and quantitative skills with accounting knowledge
  • Advanced MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects across time zones
  • Legal background and/or degree preferred; pertinent to transactions
