Overview
In this role you will provide timely, practical legal advice and conduct case work focused on contracts and procurement. You will join a supportive, experienced legal team within a public-sector setting, helping to navigate procurement law including the Procurement Act 2023. You’ll work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and, when appropriate, independently to deliver sound legal solutions. This is a meaningful opportunity to support local communities and drive compliant, value-driven contracting.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and accurate legal advice on contracts and procurement
- Conduct case work related to contracts and procurement matters
- Collaborate with a legal team and other departments to deliver solutions
- Communicate clearly in writing and orally with diverse stakeholders
- Apply knowledge of Procurement Act 2023 in practice
Key requirements
- Practising Solicitor or Barrister
- Ability to provide prompt and accurate legal advice
- Clear written and oral communication
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Knowledge and experience of Contracts and Procurement law (including the Procurement Act 2023)
