Accounting Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead UK finance operations for a growing international services business, reporting to a US-based controller. You’ll own accounting, payroll, compliance, and vendor management across multiple sites, driving financial discipline and timely reporting. The position offers high autonomy in a scaling environment and opportunities to influence acquisition integration and process improvements. You’ll work closely with site managers and senior stakeholders to shape robust UK financial governance.

Responsibilities

• Own UK accounting operations across three sites
• Oversee AR, AP, and general ledger activities
• Support month-end close (local lite close; US consolidation)
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
• Support working capital management and NWC targets
• Own end-to-end payroll process with HR support
• Oversee benefits administration and compliance
• Ensure UK statutory filings are accurate and timely
• Liaise with external accountants and advisors
• Lead RFP processes and manage key vendor relationships
• Act as in-region finance leader and partner with site managers
• Support integration of acquired entities and drive process improvements

Key requirements

• 4–5 years’ experience in accounting/finance
• Experience in multi-site or services-based businesses preferred
• Exposure to payroll, statutory compliance, and month-end processes
• Experience reporting into an international or US-based parent advantageous
