Product Management – Custody FX – SVP

Overview

In this role, you will lead the Custody FX product agenda within Citi’s FX Partnerships team, shaping innovative solutions for institutional clients. You’ll drive strategic development, manage the product lifecycle, and coordinate transformation efforts across product, technology, sales, and legal/compliance. You’ll identify market opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and ensure regulatory alignment to strengthen Citi’s FX franchise. The role offers high-impact work at scale within a transformed platform and a collaborative, cross‑functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize new Custody FX product opportunities aligned with business strategy
• Collaborate with product managers, development teams, technology, and partners to deliver FX transformation
• Create client-driven roadmaps using market research and competitive analysis
• Coordinate with Custody, Sales, Trading, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Risk to ensure feasibility and launch
• Source and manage strategic partnerships with Citi Services, tech providers, and external entities
• Negotiate and manage partnership agreements; monitor performance and opportunities for growth
• Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to retirement; ensure regulatory compliance
• Lead product testing, validation, and QA; gather feedback and iterate features
• Stay updated on FX market trends, represent Citi in industry events, contribute to internal best practices

Key requirements

• Bachelor in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience in product management within financial services with a focus on FX
• Solid understanding of FX markets, risk, trading mechanisms and regulatory landscape
• Custody FX experience in at least two areas (auto FX, direct dealing, currency overlay, hedging)
• Understanding of direct dealing and eFX connectivity for institutional flow
• Knowledge of investment lifecycle, cash management and FX exposure management
• Understanding of regulatory differences across local and offshore markets
• Proven track record launching new products and managing lifecycles
• Experience of custody-agnostic workflows, execution, and settlement
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders
• Experience with data analytics tools (Python, SQL)
