Overview

In this role you will support and enhance the UK Quality Management System to ensure ISO 9001, UL, and ATEX compliance. You will partner with manufacturing, assembly and logistics teams to solve quality problems, lead investigations, and drive corrective actions. Your work will strengthen process control, product validation, and traceability while supporting audits and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on position with impact on product quality and customer satisfaction within a busy industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and drive CI of the QMS ensuring ISO 9001, UL and ATEX compliance
  • Coordinate containment, corrective and preventive actions with timely closure and effectiveness verification
  • Lead investigations into customer complaints, non-conformances and process failures using 8D, 5 Why and fishbone analysis
  • Provide hands-on quality support to Production, Assembly, Warehouse, Technical and Engineering teams
  • Support first-off, in-process and final inspections, product validation, testing, traceability checks and release
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation (procedures, work instructions, control plans, inspection records, Certificates of Conformity, Material Test Certificates, PPAP, FAI, customer packs)
  • Conduct internal audits and support external/customer audits, address findings and implement corrective actions
  • Monitor quality performance via KPIs and trend analysis, driving defect and cost of quality reduction
  • Conduct product testing to verify conformance against specifications and requirements

Key requirements

  • BS EN ISO 9001 knowledge
  • 3 years in a quality engineering role
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience with cross-functional teams and professional handling of non-conformances
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Experience investigating customer complaints and internal non-conformances
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action tools (8D, 5 Why, fishbone)
  • Experience in manufacturing/engineering environments (electrical, cable management, or similar)
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Understanding of inspection, testing, release processes; PPAP, FAI, control plans, FMEA
  • Independent decision-making and escalation when needed
