Senior Manager – Revenue Accounting

Overview

In this role, you will lead Europe’s revenue accounting, acting as the subject matter expert on revenue recognition under US GAAP and IFRS. You’ll steer monthly and quarterly close, oversee related costs, and ensure strong internal controls and SOX alignment. You’ll partner with Sales, Legal, FP&A, and Group Finance to shape commercial accounting guidance and support UK statutory and US group reporting. The role includes developing a UK-based team and driving finance transformation and automation. This is a high-impact position within a global, flexible, and collaborative finance function.

Responsibilities

• Lead the revenue accounting function for Europe and be the SME for revenue recognition.
• Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and IFRS 15 through contract reviews and complex arrangements.
• Manage monthly and quarterly revenue close, reporting, reconciliations, and journals.
• Oversee revenue-related costs, including sales and partner commissions.
• Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Legal, FP&A, Operations and Group Finance to provide accounting guidance.
• Support UK statutory reporting and US group reporting related to revenue.
• Maintain and strengthen revenue accounting policies, SOX controls and internal control framework.
• Manage external audit relationships and respond to revenue-related audit requests.
• Lead and develop three UK-based direct reports and oversee offshore SSC associates.
• Drive automation, process improvement, finance transformation, system implementations and revenue-related projects.

Key requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
