Overview
You will deliver and develop a high-quality uro-radiology service at Whipps Cross, contributing to expanding uro-oncology and complex urology pathways. You join an existing radiology team and will have support to develop subspecialty skills and procedures. The role involves cross-sectional imaging, ultrasound and urointerventional work, with opportunities for research and teaching. This position supports collaboration across the Trust within an academic, training-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and develop a high-quality uro-radiology service
- Develop subspecialty expertise and procedural skills with support
- Work from Whipps Cross University Hospital with Trust-wide collaboration
- Provide expertise in cross-sectional imaging, ultrasound and plain film reporting
- Perform urointerventional procedures to patients
- Support and participate in research and teaching within a training-focused department
Key requirements
- MB BS in Medicine; FRCR or equivalent; CCT (or within 6 months of interview) or on specialist register
- Extensive experience in diagnostic radiology and Uroradiology IR procedures
- Training in relevant subspecialty (e.g., IR fellowship)
- Participation in regional MDTs & meetings is desirable
- Experience in audit and quality improvement
- UK professional registration required
