Overview

In this role you will join a leading Tier 1 main contractor at their Rainham, Essex offices to oversee commercial aspects of多 projects across healthcare, education, retail, social housing and more. You will contribute to cost control, commercial governance and procurement on varied schemes, from small works to multi‑million pound projects. The position supports delivery across public and private sectors, aligning with the company’s focus on cost‑effective, sustainable solutions. This is a hands‑on role for a capable surveyor looking to impact multiple sectors within a reputable contractor setting.

Pay / Benefits

• salary 55,000 – 65,000 + package

Responsibilities

• Support commercial management on a range of projects across multiple sectors
• Maintain cost control, measurement and valuations for projects
• Assist with procurement, contract administration and subcontractor management
• Ensure commercial governance and compliance with company processes
• Provide accurate reporting and cost forecasting to stakeholders
• Coordinate with project teams to mitigate commercial risks

Key requirements

• Degree qualified or other relative construction qualification
• Extensive experience working for a reputable main contractor
• Track record on a range of projects across various sectors
• Excellent commercial skills and awareness
• Full UK driving licence
• Able to commute to Rainham, Essex daily
