Manchester senior structural, run the whole job from a city centre studio

Overview

In this role you will take ownership of schemes from feasibility through to construction for a Manchester studio within a multi-office civil and structural consultancy. You will lead structural design, coordinate with architects and clients, and mentor technicians and junior engineers. The position offers a clear route toward principal level in a collaborative, fast-moving environment. You’ll work on diverse projects across residential, commercial, education, healthcare, industrial and logistics sectors, supported by the wider business and hybrid working.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design from feasibility to construction
• Run your own projects and manage scope and milestones
• Coordinate directly with architects and clients
• Steer technicians and develop junior engineers
• Collaborate with the wider team in a fast environment
• Drive project decisions in a collaborative, non-hierarchical culture

Key requirements

• Chartered or nearing chartership
• Senior engineer with demonstrated project delivery experience
• Ability to lead, coordinate and communicate with multiple stakeholders
• Experience across multiple project types (residential, commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, logistics)
