Overview
As Director in FTI Consulting’s London Digital & Insights practice, you will lead primary research engagements across quantitative and qualitative methods. You’ll own the research lifecycle from scoping to delivery, guiding fieldwork, analysis, and client-ready insights. You will mentor junior colleagues and collaborate on global initiatives, shaping research methodologies and impactful recommendations. Responsibilities
- Design and scope primary research projects, including questionnaires and discussion guides
- Manage full research lifecycle from inception to completion with attention to detail
- Lead fielding, focus groups, and in-depth interviews; contribute to deliverables
- Handle small-to-medium projects independently while collaborating on larger global initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers on methodologies and best practices
- Support professional development through coaching and hands-on execution
Key requirements
- Substantial experience in conducting primary research (quantitative and qualitative)
- Experience in project management and handling multiple projects simultaneously (4–5)
- Track record in designing and executing quantitative survey research (questionnaire development, programming oversight, analysis)
- Proven ability to manage qualitative research (focus groups, in-depth interviews; formal training such as RIVA preferred)
- Experience managing full project lifecycles, including deadlines, vendor coordination, and QA of deliverables
- Excellent verbal presentation and public speaking abilities
- Strong data storytelling capabilities
