In this role you will lead and contribute to planning policy projects within a multidisciplinary team, shaping local authorities’ strategies and growth plans. You will liaise with clients and stakeholders to secure successful outcomes while supporting business development and ensuring deliverables meet quality and budget targets. Responsibilities
- Lead and assist on planning policy projects, including local authority policy and strategy development and evidence studies
- Provide strategic planning advice to clients and internal teams
- Develop and manage relationships with clients, local authorities and stakeholders
- Share technical knowledge and excellence within the team
- Ensure projects are delivered on budget and within programme timelines
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams for seamless project execution
- Contribute to deliverables with QA and health and safety principles
- Contribute to business development strategy and client relationship nurturing
- Lead/assist in preparation of commercial tenders to secure opportunities
Key requirements
- Significant experience leading and contributing to planning policy and strategy development in consultancy or public sector
- Strong client and stakeholder relations and ability to engage with local authorities
- Business development experience with work-winning and client relationship development
- Ability to produce high-quality technical reports and communicate clearly
- Self-starter with ability to work under pressure
- High commitment to quality
- Degree in Town Planning or related discipline and RTPI membership (or equivalent)
