Finance Manager

Overview

In this Group Finance Manager role you will help build a scalable finance function within a PE-backed technology business. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support accurate group reporting, strengthen controls, and drive process improvements. You will partner with cross-functional teams to enhance financial visibility and contribute to finance transformation and automation in a fast-growing environment. This is an impactful role focused on reporting, controls, payroll, and scalable finance processes.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly management accounts and month-end close.
• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Assist with group consolidation and multi-entity reporting.
• Maintain and improve financial controls and processes.
• Support cash flow, working capital and forecasting activities.
• Coordinate annual audit requirements and supporting schedules.
• Oversee payroll processing, reconciliations and payroll reporting.
• Support reporting on payroll costs, benefits, bonuses and headcount.
• Partner with operational and finance teams to improve financial visibility.
• Contribute to finance transformation, automation and systems improvement.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to senior finance stakeholders.

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting and management reporting experience.
• Experience within a technology, high-growth or PE backed environment would be advantageous
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
• Experience with payroll processes and controls.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach.
