Overview
You will join a City of London bank to conduct comprehensive credit assessments, financial modelling, and risk analysis for diverse portfolios. In this role you’ll translate data into credit recommendations, monitor exposures, and support decision-making using CCRA-aligned methodologies. You will work with stakeholders to shape credit strategies while ensuring regulatory alignment. This hybrid London-based position offers hands-on impact in risk evaluation and reporting. Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth financial statement analysis and evaluate creditworthiness of corporates, SMEs, and individuals
- Apply CCRA-aligned frameworks, including ratio analysis, cash-flow forecasting, and stress-testing
- Develop forward-looking financial models incorporating industry and macroeconomic factors
- Review credit bureau data, bank statements, collateral valuations, and external reports
- Assign internal credit ratings and identify key risk drivers
- Prepare credit memoranda, appraisal notes, and risk summaries for committees
- Monitor exposures, covenant compliance, and repayment behaviour
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure facilities and support negotiations
- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal risk policies
Key requirements
- Proficiency in credit management and evaluating credit risk
- Strong analytical skills for financial analysis and data interpretation
- Excellent communication for presenting findings and collaborating
- Understanding of finance principles applied to credit analysis
- CCRA certification or significant qualification related to credit research
- Detail-oriented and well-organized with deadline discipline
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Experience in financial institutions or credit-related roles is a plus
