Overview
As a Capital Modelling Consultant in WTW’s UK P&C Consulting Practice, you will design and implement cutting-edge capital modelling solutions to support insurers’ capital strategy and portfolio decisions. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to deliver value, develop intellectual capital, and help shape client strategies through thought leadership and practical modelling. You’ll engage with senior clients, contribute to sales efforts, and mentor junior colleagues, playing a key role in expanding WTW’s capital modelling offerings.

Responsibilities
- Build a market profile for WTW capital modelling services and software
- Develop trusted client relationships and execute projects with quality
- Collaborate with cross-regional colleagues on client issues
- Uphold professional standards in analyses and communications
- Lead or contribute to development of intellectual capital for market readiness
- Create public thought leadership through articles and presentations
- Meet sales and intellectual capital development targets
- Develop and present proposals to demonstrate economic value of offerings
- Leverage internal networks to generate new opportunities and supporters
- Foster internal collaboration and mentor junior staff
- Maintain a big‑picture view by leveraging related practices to meet client needs
- Be available for domestic and international travel as required
Key requirements
- Relevant experience in a capital modelling/management role in an insurance firm or consultancy
- Advocate for the use of capital modelling in business and adoption of new techniques
- Knowledge of main capital modelling platforms
- Experience of Igloo software, preferred
- Strong interpersonal and team skills
- Self-starter with ability to operate in ambiguity
- Strong analytical and creative abilities
- Enjoy mentoring junior staff
- Ability to see the big picture and coordinate across practices
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
