Overview

In this Senior Business Analyst/Product Analyst role, you will work within a multidisciplinary product team to shape technology solutions for Defence and Security clients. You translate user needs into well-defined requirements, collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders, and guide agile delivery from discovery through to implementation. You’ll analyse user journeys, map data flows, and define acceptance criteria to ensure high-quality, value-driven outcomes. This role offers hybrid work across London, Bristol or Manchester and requires active DV clearance, enabling you to impact critical public-sector digital products.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, users and stakeholders to define product vision and measurable outcomes
  • Analyze user journeys, processes and system capabilities to identify pain points and opportunities
  • Map end-to-end user flows, system interactions, and data models for future services
  • Translate product requirements into user stories with acceptance criteria; ensure feasibility with dev and design teams
  • Support Product Owner in backlog refinement and prioritisation to deliver value
  • Support QA activities to ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria and UX quality
  • Perform data analysis on usage and performance to inform iterations and decision-making
  • Provide guidance to product teams and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle
  • Contribute to agile practices and operating models within the team
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging tech in product development and agile methods

Key requirements

  • 1-5 years in a Business Analyst or Product Analyst role in an agile environment
  • Strong ability to translate user needs into actionable requirements and user stories
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to communicate insights to diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in product discovery and agile BA techniques (elicitation, story mapping, acceptance criteria, BPMN)
  • Experience with agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and tools (Jira, GitLab)
  • Experience with QA activities and ensuring high-quality user experiences
  • Experience managing scope in dynamic environments and prioritising for value
  • Experience building relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • UK security clearance at DV level or willingness to obtain
