Senior Consultant to Manager – Major Programmes – Project, Programme and Product Delivery, Defence & Security

Overview

In this role you will lead and shape technology-enabled transformation programmes for Defence, Security and Justice clients within Deloitte’s Human Capital practice. You’ll oversee strategy, delivery governance and change activities to achieve defined outcomes, working across cross-functional teams and large-scale delivery. You’ll drive digital transformation, operating model design, and PMO development, while collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues to secure client value. Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering workforce through product management, scrum master and DevOps practices
• Embed delivery excellence via project, programme and portfolio governance and manage key artefacts (planning, change management, facilitation)
• Drive digital transformation and advisory business including Operating Model Design and Scaled Agile Delivery
• Shape the future of PMO with controls, data management, progress reporting and RAID handling
• Support design, mobilisation and delivery of large-scale technology-enabled transformations (delivery strategy, governance)
• Manage programme performance across scope, budget, risk, dependencies and outcomes to enable informed client decisions
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver complex workstreams in multi-disciplinary, fast-paced environments
• Support business development by identifying opportunities and contributing to proposals
• Contribute to propositions, delivery methods and industry perspectives on programme delivery and transformation
• Support the growth of client relationships and opportunities within existing and new clients

Key requirements

• UK security clearance or eligibility for SC level
• Experience in technical delivery environments with practical delivery insights
• Proven delivery experience in Defence, Security and Justice sectors
• Experience delivering technology-enabled projects or major programmes in industry or consulting
• Commercial awareness of programme delivery, business case development, risk, finance, suppliers and bid lifecycle
• Effective communication with clients and stakeholders at all levels
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, attention to detail
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and fast-paced projects
• Self-motivated, adaptable and proactive
