Overview

In this role you will lead a prestigious Scottish agricultural insurance book, acting as a senior advisor on complex risk and market placement. You will sit at the leadership table shaping strategy for the agricultural practice and represent the firm to farming sector bodies. You’ll mentor the team and set the standard for client-centric, technically sharp advisory. This is a high-impact, executive role with a clear focus on deep client understanding and long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a prestigious Scottish client book and manage high-expectation accounts
• Advise on complex risk, coverage strategy, and market placement for diversified operations
• Contribute to strategy and direction of the agricultural practice at senior leadership level
• Represent the firm with clients, farming bodies, and industry events
• Mentor and influence the wider team to set high standards and drive performance

Key requirements

• Credible, established senior figure in the agricultural insurance market
• Scotland-based with deep sector embedding and hands-on farming insurance knowledge
• Strong relationship-building with farmers and finance directors
• Technically sharp and commercially astute
• Cert CII or higher; track record is highly valued
