Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Quantitative Hedge Fund

Overview

In this role you will own and evolve the firm’s infrastructure, partnering with senior leadership to shape a lean, automated IT landscape in a high-paced trading environment. You will work closely with traders and quants, delivering reliable Microsoft 365, AD/Entra ID, and Azure services while drivingautomation and IaC initiatives. Your hands-on approach will influence incident response, vendor engagement, and security in a small, high-trust team.

Responsibilities

• Own Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Intune)
• Manage on-prem and cloud directory services (Active Directory and Entra ID)
• Provide high-quality IT support to a small team (~20 users) including traders and quants
• Drive automation via PowerShell and other tools
• Manage Azure environment and contribute to IaC projects using Terraform
• Support Windows desktop and server in a highly available setting
• Liaise with external vendors and service providers
• Play a key role in incident response, resolution, and documentation

Key requirements

• 5+ years in IT support or infrastructure, preferably in finance or professional services
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft 365 and related admin tasks
• Deep understanding of Active Directory and Azure AD/Entra ID
• Strong PowerShell scripting for automation and admin tasks
• Proven ability to manage Windows endpoints and troubleshoot complex issues
• Hands-on Azure experience and familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
