Linux Engineer – High-Performance Prop Trading

Overview

In this role you design and maintain mission-critical, highly available Linux infrastructure that powers trading desks and internal teams. You will collaborate with traders and developers to deliver high-performance systems and automation that enable bleeding-edge workloads. The position combines hands-on engineering with troubleshooting and process improvements in a global, collaborative team. This is a chance to shape the core trading tech stack and scale operational reliability in a fast-paced financial environment.

Responsibilities

• Own mission-critical Linux systems from day one
• Design, operate, and improve highly available, high-performance infrastructure
• Enable traders and developers to run applications at scale
• Troubleshoot and debug complex systems using CLI tools
• Automate tasks and improve processes via scripting and configuration management

Key requirements

• Extensive Linux engineering experience in a high-availability environment (RedHat/Debian-based or similar)
• Experience supporting mission-critical systems and high-performance applications
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Bash, Python, or another high-level language)
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack)
• Proficient at debugging/troubleshooting using command-line tools (ss, iostat, dig, ethtool)

• Strong communication skills
