Overview

As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will supervise the mechanical scope across delivery stages for projects in the Renewable Energy sector. You collaborate with other disciplines and clients, oversee planning, and ensure quality of engineering deliverables. You drive cost and schedule efficiency and support vendor selection during conceptual and FEED phases. You will participate in design reviews and risk assessments, shaping robust, safe, and efficient mechanical solutions. Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day mechanical engineering delivery
• Plan and schedule workload for the mechanical team
• Interface with other disciplines and client personnel
• Support vendor management and selection during conceptual/FEED
• Check subcontractor design quality against client specs
• Ensure competence and deliverable quality of the mechanical team
• Participate in HAZID, design reviews, and model reviews
• Contribute to cost and schedule estimates and monitor progress
• Drive innovative solutions to reduce cost and schedule
• Undertake short/long-term business travel for studies and projects

Key requirements

• Degree qualified
• Chartered status advantageous though not essential
• Experience in Oil & Gas projects at conceptual/FEED/detailed design stages
• Experience in other major energy like Energy from Waste advantageous
• Site experience with design background beneficial
