Senior Supply Chain & Procurement Manager

Overview

In this senior role, you will own the supply chain and procurement function, shaping its strategy and performance. You’ll lead a 13-person team, form strong supplier relationships, and work with cross-functional partners to deliver cost-efficient, resilient supply solutions. You’ll drive continuous improvement and stock availability, aligning procurement with business objectives. This position offers strategic influence, hands-on impact, and visibility within a well-established organisation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a supply and procurement strategy aligned to business objectives
• Lead, develop and empower a 13-person purchasing team
• Own performance and output of the supply and procurement function
• Build strong relationships with key suppliers and European manufacturing partners
• Lead supplier negotiations, commercial discussions and vendor performance management
• Collaborate across business areas to understand requirements and create effective supply solutions
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, cost, quality and service
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the function
• Work with Logistics to ensure stock availability and supply continuity

Key requirements

• Significant senior-level experience across procurement and supply chain management
• Experience leading, developing and motivating teams
• Empathetic leadership style with high emotional intelligence
• Procurement, supplier and vendor management expertise
• Track record of continuous improvement, ideally Lean Six Sigma or Lead Auditor
• Ability to develop strategy while staying close to operational detail
• Ability to lead from the front and engage with teams, suppliers and stakeholders
