Senior .NET Engineer – Partner Integrations

Overview

In this role you will lead technical delivery for partner integrations within Go.Compare’s insurance-focused operations. You will own end-to-end development lifecycle, collaborate with external partners and compliance teams, and drive scalable, secure REST APIs. You’ll promote TDD, oversee releases, and guide architectural decisions in FCA-aligned environments. You’ll also mentor the team and help align engineering efforts with the company’s cross-functional goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical execution and lifecycle ownership for partner integrations
• Design, build, and maintain high-performance REST APIs (XML, JSON, SOAP)
• Manage end-to-end integration lifecycles from discovery to zero-downtime deployment
• Coordinate with legal/compliance to meet FCA security standards
• Refine SDLC processes and champion TDD principles
• Provide architectural guidance and code reviews for scalability and maintainability
• Mentor engineers and communicate clearly with leadership across teams
• Leverage AI tools (Copilot, Claude) to speed debugging and testing

Key requirements

• Extensive software engineering experience with proven leadership
• Expert in C# and SQL Server
• Strong RESTful design experience, familiarity with SOAP legacy protocols
• Experience with CI/CD, branching strategies, agile ceremonies
• Release governance: production deployments and Definition of Done
• Mentorship experience and commitment to junior developers
• Test-first mindset with team-wide TDD experience
