Overview
As Discipline Director for Technical Delivery, you will lead technical delivery, resourcing, and operational performance for the ASSIST team on multidisciplinary survey and site investigation projects. You’ll work with discipline leads and leaders to maintain technical quality, drive growth, and develop people while engaging clients. The role combines leadership, delivery excellence, and safety stewardship to deliver impactful infrastructure solutions. Responsibilities
- Champion safety-first culture across all technical disciplines and maintain safety training plans
- Lead resourcing and technical delivery of multidisciplinary projects; act as escalation point for delivery/quality issues
- Ensure technical quality standards across disciplines; undertake Lead Verifier responsibilities where appropriate
- Resolve resource conflicts and capacity constraints; escalate to senior leadership as needed
- Support bids and proposals by coordinating technical staff and reviewing solutions, cost builds, and submissions
- Foster client engagement and strengthen relationships to grow opportunities
- Develop and implement resource strategies; lead workforce planning and training plans
- Drive adoption of enterprise capabilities and innovative delivery approaches; monitor capacity and risks
- Contribute to business cases for new equipment/technology and digital investments; support continuous improvement
- Promote collaboration, learning, and technical excellence across teams
Key requirements
- Significant experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams within survey and investigation disciplines or related sectors
- Experience managing project delivery, technical quality, and resource planning
- Strong stakeholder management and collaborative leadership skills
