Senior Project Planner

Overview

In this role you support project financial control and scheduling for large infrastructure initiatives. You work with cross-functional teams to forecast costs, monitor earned value, and ensure alignment between budgets, baselines, and funding. You will use key cost data to identify issues, prepare forecasts and performance reports, and help lead project cost reviews. The position combines finance with scheduling practices to drive on-time, on-budget project delivery, within a global engineering firm. Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data to identify key project issues and trends
• Prepare revised cost forecasts and cost impact analyses
• Monitor earned value and cost performance against budgets
• Lead junior staff through assignment tasks and participate in project cost reviews
• Establish baseline data from drawings and specifications; manage cost/schedule integration
• Review contractor invoices, purchase orders, and subcontract commitments
• Manage manpower, labor hours, and cost variances; prepare variance analyses
• Track change orders and ensure alignment with work authorizations
• Develop and maintain cost/schedule baseline budgets and KPIs
• Prepare project reports and dashboards for stakeholders
• Support procedure development and implementation
• Participate in and possibly lead project cost review meetings
