Associate Director / Technical Director – Acoustics

Overview

In this role you shape and grow WSP’s acoustics presence in London from Chancery Lane. You will lead complex buildings acoustics projects from concept to completion, guiding junior staff and driving professional development. You’ll nurture client relationships as a trusted advisor and contribute to winning new work, while overseeing project management, resources, and compliance. The opportunity sits within a large, multidisciplinary acoustics team that collaborates across environmental, architectural, and vibration disciplines. Responsibilities

• Deliver complex buildings acoustics projects from concept through to completion
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development
• Oversee project management activities including resource planning, financial performance, and regulatory compliance

Key requirements

• Demonstrable experience in buildings acoustics
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification and corporate membership of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA / FIOA)
• Strong knowledge of project management, communication of technical information, commercial awareness, and health and safety
• Enthusiastic, energetic, willing to learn with a team-spirited attitude
