Overview
In this role you will provide expert Process Safety guidance across operations and engineering, supporting COMAH compliance and regulatory interactions with HSE. You will lead hazard analyses, PHAs and LOPAs, and monitor safety performance through audits and investigations. You will advise on Safety Critical Equipment, Major Accident Hazards and Human Factors, driving site-wide process safety improvements. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to influence safety culture and engineering practices at a global manufacturing site. Responsibilities
- Provide expert Process Safety guidance across operational and engineering teams.
- Support COMAH compliance, regulatory inspections and HSE engagement.
- Lead and facilitate PHA, hazard studies and LOPA.
- Review Process Safety performance via audits, investigations and reporting.
- Advise on Safety Critical Equipment, Major Accident Hazards and Human Factors.
- Drive continuous improvement in Process Safety standards across the site.
Key requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Process Safety experience within chemical manufacturing
- Strong understanding of COMAH and UK Process Safety regulations
- Experience within an upper-tier COMAH site advantageous
- Human Factors experience beneficial
- Confident communicator with ability to influence and build relationships across all levels
