Overview
In this role you will manage a varied family law caseload and deliver high-quality legal advice with exceptional client care. You will work within a supportive, collaborative Taunton team and handle matters from instruction to conclusion while developing long-term client relationships. The position offers exposure to divorce, financial remedy, private children work, and nuptial agreements, within a regulated, client-focused practice. You will contribute to business development and maintain compliance with SRA regulations, making a meaningful impact in family law.

Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of family matters from instruction to conclusion
- Advising on divorce and separation and handling financial remedy proceedings
- Managing private children matters and cohabitation disputes
- Preparing and advising on pre and post nuptial agreements
- Assisting clients with domestic abuse applications
- Conducting face to face client meetings and drafting/reviewing documents and court applications
- Representing clients in negotiations and, where appropriate, court proceedings
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and SRA regulations
- Building strong, long lasting client relationships
- Supporting business development and networking initiatives
Key requirements
- Proven experience managing a family law caseload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
- Confidence managing deadlines and working independently
- Proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft Office
