Overview

In this role you design, develop, and test advanced mathematical algorithms within a collaborative engineering environment. You will translate requirements into practical solutions and work closely with software engineers to implement them at scale. You’ll apply data science, modelling, and modern techniques like machine learning to real-world, high-performance systems. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test mathematical algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink and Python
• Interpret requirements and translate them into effective algorithmic solutions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enable seamless implementation
• Contribute to best practices and influence algorithm development across the team
• Apply a rigorous, quality-focused approach to problem-solving and development

Key requirements

• Mathematical modelling, analysis, or problem-solving
• Numerical simulation or data analysis
• Data science including machine learning techniques
• Software development (ideally Python or similar)
• A degree (or equivalent) in a numerate discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or similar
• Confidence with mathematical concepts and applying them to real problems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
