Overview

In this role, you join Clifford Chance’s global Knowledge & Training function to support the fintech regulatory practice, with emphasis on UK and EU developments. You’ll deliver practical knowhow to partners and fee earners, shaping knowledge resources and client materials. You’ll collaborate across the Tech Group, Thought Leadership, and Business Development to drive innovations in training, publishing, and AI-enabled solutions. This is a chance to influence how fintech regulation, cryptoassets, and digital assets are understood firm-wide, and to engage with regulators and industry bodies. You’ll work in a hybrid setup with opportunities to lead and contribute to high-impact client work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide fintech regulatory expertise and manage knowledge for lawyers and clients
  • Monitor UK/EU fintech developments and update internal resources
  • Oversee fintech resources and horizon-scanning newsletters
  • Improve capture and sharing of fintech knowhow; build new knowledge collections
  • Encourage fee earners to contribute to the knowledge base
  • Lead thought leadership and client publications on fintech topics
  • Draft/coordinate policy submissions and trade association input
  • Support fintech business planning and targeted client materials
  • Deliver internal fintech training and coordinate global training programs
  • Promote use of legal tech tools and AI for better matter delivery
  • Coordinate K&T and Tech Group activities and central resources
  • Organise and contribute to fintech events and media outreach
  • Ensure fintech content on the firm site is current and accurate

Key requirements

  • Senior level lawyer or PSL with fintech/digital assets regulatory expertise
  • Strong track record of staying current with legal developments
  • Interest in knowledge management and training
  • Excellent academic background
  • Strong research, drafting and analytical skills
  • Proactive, client-focused with high commercial awareness
  • Ability to engage with partners, clients and industry leaders
  • Interest or experience in legal technology/AI (beneficial)
