Operations Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the safe, efficient operations of a fleet of offshore vessels and marine assets. You will work closely with Technical, HSEQ, Crewing and Commercial teams to ensure readiness, meet client requirements and uphold high safety and service standards. You will drive operational performance, participate in mobilisations/demobilisations and support continuous improvement across the fleet. This senior position offers scope to shape how operations are delivered in a fast-moving offshore environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational performance of assigned offshore vessels and assets
• Ensure safe, efficient vessel operation aligned with company and client requirements
• Monitor readiness, utilisation and operational performance
• Coordinate with Technical, HSEQ, Crewing and Commercial teams
• Support vessel mobilisation, demobilisation and offshore project activity
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
• Support investigations, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify and resolve fleet-wide operational issues
• Provide operational input into fleet planning, tenders and new projects

Key requirements

• Strong experience in offshore vessel operations, marine operations or fleet management
• Experience managing multiple vessels or a fleet of offshore assets
• Experience with offshore support vessels, jack-up units, liftboats, barges or similar assets (beneficial)
• Experience mentoring Superintendents (advantageous)
• Good understanding of marine safety, offshore operations and regulations
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Commercial awareness and client-facing confidence
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving operational environment
