Overview
In this role, you will lead the group’s EHS strategy and policy development, ensuring regulatory compliance across the organisation. You’ll partner with senior leadership to drive EHS initiatives that align with corporate goals, and act as a central contact for operations and external stakeholders. You will deputise for the Group EHS Director at governance forums and support continuous improvement in safety and sustainability. This is a delivery-focused, strategic role within a forward-thinking company.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and review of Group-level EHS policies, procedures and guidance
- Drive delivery of EHS strategy projects aligned with organisational goals
- Conduct assurance activities and audits to maintain compliance and improve performance
- Serve as central contact for operational teams and external stakeholders on EHS matters
- Act as deputy for the Group EHS Director at board and committee meetings
Key requirements
- Proven experience delivering EHS improvements in hazardous environments (ports, airports, or logistics)
- Strong ability to influence and engage senior leadership and the board
- Solid knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
