Overview
As Legal Counsel at ASOS, you will act as a key contact for diverse legal areas across the business, providing commercial and regulatory advice with a global scope. You will work closely with the Head of Legal and Senior Counsel, supporting cross-border matters and risk management. This role combines hands-on contract work with strategic legal guidance to enable growth, brand integrity, and compliant marketing. You will engage with multiple stakeholders to move projects forward and contribute to a culture that values inclusion and learning.

Responsibilities
- Advise on marketing, advertising compliance and consumer protection rules; support influencer/talent agreements and content usage terms
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts (wholesale, brand partnerships, supplier agreements) and supervising marketplace/brand collaborations
- Provide guidance on supply chain and property matters, including logistics and warehousing contracts
- Advise on sustainability regulatory requirements, ESG reporting, and green claims
- Support on cross-border legal matters, escalate risks, and liaise with external counsel when needed
- Deliver training on relevant legal issues to the Legal team and the business
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders, manage critical projects, and drive multidisciplinary initiatives
- Champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives within the team and company
- Identify and procure external legal advice as needed to support business objectives
- Be the primary point of contact to drive projects forward with multiple stakeholders
Key requirements
- General commercial legal experience in negotiating and advising on commercial contracts
- PQE Qualified Solicitor with experience
- Enthusiastic adopter of AI technologies
- Approachable and adaptable communicator with stakeholders across geographies
- Experience in fast-paced, growing in-house or private practice environments
